From your Mac
Email a Keynote presentation from your Mac.
Your teammate is on PowerPoint? Keynote can convert the deck and send it in one step.
Send it as PowerPoint or a PDF
- With the presentation open in Keynote, click Share in the toolbar, then click Export and Send.
- Choose a format. PowerPoint files open in Microsoft PowerPoint as .pptx. In a PDF, each slide is its own page, and you can include presenter notes and comments. Movie exports the slides as a .mov.
- Choose Mail or Messages, add the email address or phone number, then click Send in Mail or press Enter in Messages.
Send it as a Keynote file
Click Share in the toolbar, click the pop-up menu, then choose Send Copy (Send a Copy on macOS 27 or later). Pick AirDrop, Mail or Messages. With AirDrop, the other person has to be on the same network and accept the file. If you haven’t saved the presentation yet, Keynote asks you to first.
Export a copy for Gmail
Choose File > Export To, pick PowerPoint or PDF, and save it. Then attach the file in Gmail. Changes to the exported copy don’t affect the original. For a PDF, a higher Image Quality setting makes a bigger file.
Personal Gmail accounts can attach up to 25 MB. For a bigger deck, see Gmail attachment size limit and File too large for Gmail?
Send the deck to your teammate with Sendoff
Sendoff is a Mac app that lives in the notch. Drag the exported file to the notch, pick your teammate, press Send off. If it’s too big for Gmail and you also reach them by iMessage, it goes that way instead. You get three seconds to undo.
