Sendoff
Terms
Last updated October 26, 2026
These terms cover the Sendoff Mac app and this website, including the waitlist. Sending a file is something you start. Sendoff does not read your inbox.
The agreement
By using the Sendoff website, joining the waitlist, or installing the Sendoff app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or the app. The app is for people who can form a contract. It is not directed at children under 13.
The product
Sendoff is a native macOS utility. You drop a file on the MacBook notch, or on a menu bar icon on a Mac without a notch, press a number for a saved destination, and Sendoff sends that file. A destination is a person or a service you save.
Version 1 sends through Gmail and iMessage. Each service can change its own rules. If it does, that channel can stop working. We will update the app when we can. We do not control those services.
Your Google account
Connecting Gmail is optional until you want to send, and it uses Google's OAuth screen. Sendoff requests only the gmail.send scope. That permission is used solely to send a message you explicitly start by choosing a file and a destination. Sendoff does not read, list, modify, or delete mailbox contents, and it does not request a scope that would allow that.
The OAuth token is stored in the macOS Keychain on your Mac. It is not sent to a Sendoff server. There is no Sendoff account. You can disconnect Gmail in the app, which deletes the token from the Keychain, or revoke Sendoff in your Google Account. You are responsible for the Google account you connect, and for having the right to send the files you attach.
How Google user data is handled is described in the privacy policy, which is linked from the homepage and from the OAuth consent screen. Sendoff's use of Google user data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The waitlist
The form on this site saves your email address so we can tell you when a trial is available. Joining the waitlist is not a purchase, does not reserve a copy, and does not create an account. You can ask us to delete that address by emailing privacy@getsendoff.app.
Price
Sendoff is not on sale yet. The price will be shown on this site before you can buy. It is a one-time purchase for one Mac, after a free trial, not a subscription. A later major version may be a paid upgrade. Taxes may be added at checkout.
When checkout is open, the buy button on this site opens a Lemon Squeezy payment page. Lemon Squeezy charges the card and emails the license key. This site records the order Lemon Squeezy notifies us about. Until that checkout is connected, the button is the waitlist, and joining the waitlist is not a purchase. The download page has the installer when it is published.
License
If you buy Sendoff, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use it on Mac computers you own or control. You do not receive ownership of the software. You may not resell, rent, or redistribute it, or try to extract the source code except where the law forbids that limit.
A trial is for evaluation. We may end a trial build, or stop offering it, when the paid version ships or if the build is being misused.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Sendoff to:
- Send spam, phishing, or mail the recipient should not receive.
- Send malware, or files you do not have the right to send.
- Probe, disrupt, or overload Gmail, a destination service, or this website.
- Circumvent Google's terms or a destination's terms.
You are responsible for the destinations you save and for the contents of the messages you send.
Your files
Files stay on your Mac except for the copy Gmail sends to the recipient you chose. We do not receive that copy. The local sent log stays on your Mac until you delete it.
Intellectual property
Sendoff, the site, and the app are owned by Sendoff. These terms do not grant you any trademark rights. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the product without any obligation to you.
Disclaimers
The site and the app are provided "as is." We do not warrant that a destination service will accept a file, that Gmail will deliver it, that the notch interaction will behave the same on every Mac and every macOS version, or that the app will be uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Sendoff is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages, or for loss of data or goodwill, arising out of these terms or the app. Our total liability for a claim relating to the app or the site is limited to the amount you paid for Sendoff in the twelve months before the claim, or nineteen US dollars if you paid nothing. Some places do not allow these limits. In those places, the limits apply as far as the law allows.
Ending use
You may stop using Sendoff at any time by deleting the app and disconnecting it from your Google Account. We may stop providing the website, the trial, or updates. Sections that should survive, including the license limits, disclaimers, and liability limit, still apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that place have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either of us may seek injunctive relief for misuse of intellectual property in any court that can hear it.
Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version at https://getsendoff.app/terms and changing the date at the top. If you keep using the app or the site after the new terms are posted, you agree to them. The privacy policy can change on its own page.
